 Hypnotherapy

Many of us have issues in our lives, or bad habits, that we want to change: anxiousness, weight gain, and smoking are just a few of the most common unwanted behaviours. But no matter how often we try to use our willpower to overcome them, we just can’t seem to stop persisting in our self-destructive habits. Why?

Because the unconscious mind is in charge: The mind rules the body. In fact, it controls 90 percent of our behaviour and is where our minds store habits and patterns. However, there is a way to change those habits and patterns: hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy interacts directly with your inner consciousness to find the issues at the core of your being that are causing problems in your life.

Hypnotherapy affects anything on which the unconscious mind has an influence:

•    Relieves phobias
•    Stops smoking and other addictions
•    Aids in weight loss
•    Removes anxiety, such as fear of going to the dentist or public speaking
•    Calms patients preparing for surgery and aid in a faster recovery
•    Relieves insomnia
•    Improves sports performance
•    Calms the nerves before tests or interviews
•    Much more!

Using the proven fast and effective techniques of hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming [link to page], I can help you uncover your inner thoughts and feelings that are causing the problem and what memories are keeping it going. Gaining this understanding updates the unconscious and gives access to your natural inner resources and strengths, allowing you to change the beliefs and thought processes that are causing your emotional, physical, and spiritual problems and move forward to live the life you want.

How It Works

Utilising states of deep relaxation, the therapist assists in uncovering and exploring memories, emotions, and past events that may affect a person’s conscious mind and activating the client’s inner resources in order to achieve the desired goals.

Fast Results: Hypnotic techniques can induce everything from a light to a heavy hypnotic state to help a client overcome psychological or physical problems. Using a state of trance means that change can take place more quickly than the traditional therapeutic method of talking. This means treatment is often surprisingly brief and often long lasting.

Co-operative Approach: I use a gentle, nonauthoritarian approach—in effect, a partnership and co-operation with you. The aim is to guide you to create better choices for yourself.

Change at a Subconscious Level: Most often our problems are related to issues that were taught to us; for example, your parents may have constantly told you “you’re useless at (fill in the blank)”, and you came to believe it. When you have a habit, behaviour, feelings, or a condition that you cannot sort out yourself, I act as your “change manager” to help you correct the problem and help you feel more confident about yourself.

Personalised Service: Because each client’s acuity and experiences are different, I treat every client individually, listening carefully to what is currently going on for you and what you’d like to change, then tailoring the techniques to your needs. I also use meridian energy therapy and energy psychology in conjunction with hypnotherapy, which creates a very powerful healing protocol that allows you to regain control of your life. I also use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which also helps achieve very positive results.

Medical Backing

“Hypnotherapy is supported by more scientific research than any other complementary therapy.” (The Which? Guide to Complementary Therapies, 2002)

Although hypnotism has been in use longer than the British Medical Association has existed, it was formally recognized as a valid therapy by the BMA in 1955.

But because hypnotherapy does not increase the large coffers of the international drug companies, my services are not covered by the National Health.

However, my rates are very reasonable for the high level of care and healing I provide.
